Melville CavesBendigo Victoria
  Melville's Caves at Mt Kooyoora where names after the bushranger known as Captain Melville used them as a hideout from authorities. From Bendigo, drive to Inglewood along the Calder Hwy, then take the left hand turn sign posted as "Melville's Caves". The turn off is right in town, but a tad tricky to spot. From here It's a shade over 20km to the park entrance, making a right hand turn or two (also sign posted), along the way. The final turn off into the park (bitumen) is hard to spot, but it appears right after an intersection. Drive all the way to the summit car park. A walking track on the left leads to Melville's Caves. There is also the nearby Mt Korong. From Inglewood continue up the Calder for another 20kms then head right down a dirt road signposted "Serpentine 32km Mt Korong 8". You'll find the entrance to Mt Korong Scenic Reserve after 6kms |
