Bendigo Victoria

Born in Essendon, Victoria in 1937 Brian commenced painting with the medium of oils in a traditional, representational manner (using painting knives) during 1975. Watercolours followed in 1988 and pastels in 1996. No formal art education or training. He is self-taught in all mediums through extensive reading/research, observation and practice. Inspiration and subjects are drawn from the Australian landscape and seascape with which he has a close affinity. He exhibits mainly throughout Northern Victoria; regularly in Bendigo itself. His works are represented in private collections, both here in Australia and United Kingdom, USA, Japan, Norway and New Zealand.
