Bendigo FerneryBendigo Victoria
The Bendigo Fernery is located in the north east end of Rosalind Park. Originally called the 'Willows area' the fernery was proposed in 1879 by G S Mackay and was transformed the following year. The main gates leading into the fernery donated in 1853 by Frances James Every to commemorate mothers.
Today visitors to the fernery can follow the gently meandering pathway that makes its way through the lush plants and water features. There are some steps in the fernery but these can be avoided simply by taking the short circuit path which loops the fernery. |
