Arch of TriumphBendigo Victoria
A feature of Bendigo's White Hills Botanic Gardens is the Arch of Triumph which not only acts as the entry to the gardens but is also a memorial to soldiers who served in the first World War between 1914 - 1919. The Arch was erected in 1925 is of both historical and architectural significance.
The gardens are one of the Victoria’s earliest regional botanic garden reserves and today contain a number of animal enclosures for wallabies and birds. There is also a BBQ and childrens play equipment. |
