Bendigo's South African War (Boer War) Memorial recognises the sixty seven Bendig servicemen who fought in the Boer War, seven of whom were killed. Most of Australia's contingent served in either the Victorian Mounted Rifles or the 6th Battalion Australian Commonwealth Light Horse. It was sculptured by John Walker and unveiled by Brigadier General Gordan on Friday 11th November 1904.
